Our client has created an exciting new role for a Business Analyst at their regional distribution hub.
Your challenge will be to come up with clever, creative and innovative ways to improve their distribution centre’s operations and performance. Ideally, your background in data analysis will be within a logistics environment. We do need you to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and to be aware of industry trends and changes, as well as competitor activity.
Every month, you’ll be expected to prepare reports for distribution and agency clients; a performance report for their distribution centre and its clients; and specific reports for the company’s management team. To this end, you’ll need to have demonstrated expertise in not only data analysis but also visualisation tools, which will enable you to present your findings in an accessible and interesting way.
You’ll have to be super-organised and possess first-class planning skills, as you’ll need to manage multiple tasks, including assisting the distribution manager, to whom you’ll report, with annual budgets and forecasts.
You’ll be proficient in Excel and have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access and, ideally, Booksmaster/IP1.
